The Caisse d’économie solidaire Desjardins is proud to announce that one of its products has been chosen to be among the top 20 social innovations of the year, as part of the 6th edition of the Novae Awards.
The Garantie solidaire is a financial tool designed to support the expansion of the social economy and community action.
This is great news and showcases the Caisse d’économie solidaire’s ability to once again innovate and offer products adapted to the challenges faced by social economy enterprises.
The power of partnership
The Garantie solidaire was made possible thanks to partnerships between the Caisse solidaire and the J.W. McConnell Foundation, the Lucie and André Chagnon Foundation and the Mirella and Lino Saputo Foundation. Acting as endorsers, these private foundations offer a $15 million guarantee allowing social economy enterprises to obtain loans that would be out of their reach otherwise.

C’est avec fierté que la Caisse d’économie solidaire Desjardins a récemment vu l’un de ses produits être sélectionné, dans le cadre de la 6e édition des Prix Novae, parmi les 20 meilleures innovations sociales de l’année!
Il s’agit de la Garantie solidaire, un outil pour compléter les montages financiers des entreprises sociales et collectives.
Cette bonne nouvelle démontre, une fois de plus, l’excellence de la Caisse d’économie solidaire Desjardins dans sa capacité d’innover et d’offrir des produits adaptés aux réalités des entreprises d’économie sociale.
L’union fait la force
C’est grâce au partenariat avec les fondations J.W. McConnell, Lucie et André Chagnon et Mirella et Lino Saputo que la Garantie solidaire a pu voir le jour. En effet, ces fondations agissent comme endosseurs en offrant 15 M$ en garantie bancaire afin que les organismes et entreprises d’économie sociale puissent obtenir un prêt qui, autrement, n’aurait pu être consenti selon les normes usuelles.
